BCL Central Vice-President Pial Arrested in Belabo

Police have arrested Md Ehsan Ullah Pial, 32, a former vice-president of the
Bangladesh Chhatra League’s central executive committee, in a case filed under
the Anti-Terrorism Act in Belabo, Narsingdi.Pial is from
Nilakshia Namapara in Belabo. He is the son of late Zahirul Haque alias Ullah
and Mosammat Khadija Begum.According to police,
Pial was arrested in connection with Belabo Police Station Case No. 16, filed
on February 10, 2025. The case was filed under Sections 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and
13 of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 2009, including amendments made in 2013.Police said Pial was
arrested under the provisions mentioned in the case. He will be produced before
the concerned court in due course, they said.Police did not
provide further details about the allegations in the case or the circumstances
surrounding his arrest.
