Habibur Rahman (bappy), Reporter || Ensuring food security for the people and procuring safe food are the main priorities of the Food Ministry, Food Minister Afroza Khanam Rita said on Saturday.She made the remarks at a reception organised by the Dhankora Union BNP in Saturia, Manikganj.Rita said Prime Minister Tarique Rahman had assigned her to the Food Ministry after she served as Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism. She said she had performed her previous responsibilities with honesty and dedication and would now focus on ensuring food security and safe food procurement.I am your representative. It is because of your support that I can work for you. I want to continue serving the people for the rest of my life, she said.
