Salman Shah murder case probe report deferred again

The submission of the
investigation report in the murder case of popular Bangladeshi film actor
Salman Shah has been deferred again.A Dhaka court
yesterday set September 29 as the new date for submitting the report after CID
Inspector and investigation officer Ziaul Morshed sought more time.The officer has now
received a ninth extension to complete the investigation into the case filed
against 11 people, including Salman’s former wife Samira Haque.According to the case
documents, Salman’s mother Neela Chowdhury’s brother, Mohammad Alamgir Kumkum,
filed the murder case with Ramna Police Station on October 20, 2025.The accused include
Samira Haque, her mother Latifa Haque Lucy, businessman Aziz Mohammad Bhai,
actor Don, David, Javed, Faruk, Ruby, Abdur Sattar, Saju and Rezvi Ahmed alias
Farhad.Salman Shah, whose
real name was Chowdhury Mohammad Shahriar Emon, was found unconscious at his
New Eskaton residence on September 6, 1996. He was later declared dead at Dhaka
Medical College Hospital.
His death has remained a subject of controversy and
questions for decades. The latest delay in submitting the investigation report
has therefore drawn renewed attention from his family and fans.
