from contesting elections. He made the demand while

Uddin at the Election Commission headquarters on Tuesday afternoon.Golam Parwar led a six-member
Jamaat delegation at the meeting. He said the EC provision
violates Articles 27 and 28 of the Constitution and warned that the commission
could face legal challenges if the provision is not withdrawn.Nearly 30,000 MPO-listed teachers
are currently employed, he said. The Jamaat leader also said
the delegation had requested the government to take steps to remove an
individual serving as an additional secretary of the Election Commission,
alleging that he was a member of the BNP’s election coordination committee.
