NCP leader Nasiruddin Patwary allegedly attacked in Kushtia

Nasiruddin Patwary was allegedly attacked in Kushtia yesterday, days after
similar allegations emerged in Jhenaidah and Habiganj. The incident reportedly took place around the Lalon Shah
shrine in Kushtia in the evening.According to sources, Patwary came under attack while
leaving the shrine. He was taking photographs with devotees when the alleged
assault took place. He was reportedly confined to the area for around 30
minutes.NCP accuses BNPNCP Joint Member Secretary Tarek Reza alleged that BNP
activists were behind the attack. In a post on social media, he wrote, After Jhenaidah and
Habiganj, NCP’s Nasiruddin Patwary has now come under attack by BNP in
Kushtia.No immediate statement from the BNP was available regarding
the allegation.Similar allegations in Jhenaidah, HabiganjEarlier, allegations of attacks on Patwary had also emerged
in Jhenaidah and Habiganj. The latest incident in Kushtia has raised fresh concerns
over attacks involving political figures during the ongoing political
activities.
