Rakibul Islam Khan, Reporter || A three-day religious programme marking the first Urs Sharif and death anniversary of Hazrat Shah Jahangir Tajul Arefin Syed Maulana Muhammad Areful Haque (K) began at Mirzakhil Darbar Sharif in Satkania upazila of Chattogram on Wednesday.The programme will continue until October 16, with devotees expected to gather at the shrine from home and abroad. The observance includes recitation of the Holy Quran, Fateha, special prayer gatherings and discussions on the spiritual practices, life and religious contributions of Hazrat Areful Haque (K).Mirzakhil Darbar Sharif is regarded as one of the key spiritual centres and the principal markaz of the Silsila-e-Alia Jahangiria. The institution has long been involved in religious education, spiritual purification and humanitarian activities.Regular religious observances at the Darbar Sharif include daily and monthly Fateha, Khatm-e-Quran, Khatm-e-Ghausia, Milad and Sama gatherings. The spiritual teachings of the Darbar Sharif emphasise self-purification, moral development, adherence to the guidance of spiritual mentors and dedication to the welfare of humanity.Organisers expressed hope that this year's Urs Sharif would help strengthen religious values, mutual harmony and the spirit of service to humanity.
