Dulal Sorkar , Reporter || A discussion meeting marking the National Revolution and Solidarity Day was held in Belabo upazila of Narsingdi on Saturday afternoon, with participants highlighting the historical significance of the occasion and the importance of national unity.The programme was organised by the Belabo Upazila Administration at the Upazila Parishad Hallroom on November 7.Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Lailatul Hossain chaired the meeting.Among the special guests were Assistant Commissioner (Land) Aziz Sartaj Zayed; freedom fighter Abdul Khaleque Master, member secretary of the Upazila Muktijoddha Council Command; Belabo Press Club President Md Mosharraf Hossain Nilu; and its General Secretary Aminul Haque.Other attendees included Upazila Engineer Golam Sarwar, Upazila Election Officer Atikul Islam and Upazila Agriculture Officer Muhibur Rahman Siddique.Call for Unity to Protect Independence and DemocracySpeakers at the meeting highlighted the historical background and significance of National Revolution and Solidarity Day.They called upon people to uphold the spirit of the occasion and work together to protect the country's independence and sovereignty and strengthen democracy.Officials and employees from various government departments working in the upazila, local dignitaries and journalists also attended the programme.
