Three Bangladeshi expatriates from Naldanga upazila of Natore were killed in a devastating fire at a sofa manufacturing factory in Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh, according to local and family sources.The deceased were identified as Md Sabbir Hossain Shuvo, 30, son of Rabbani of Sripur village under Khajura Union; Shamim Hossain, son of Jakher Ali of Dighirpar area; and Rabiul Awal Hridoy, son of Aslam Hossain of Mahishdanga village.According to local sources, a sudden fire broke out at the sofa factory where the three men were employed. They died after sustaining severe burns in the blaze.Sohorab Hossain, chairman of Khajura Union Parishad, confirmed the deaths.News of the deaths has cast a pall of grief over the victims’ villages in Naldanga. Relatives have been mourning as the families await the return of their loved ones.Efforts are underway to bring the bodies back to Bangladesh as soon as possible, family members and people concerned said.
