Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi has tested positive for H1N1 influenza, commonly known as swine flu, amid the success of his latest film Awarapan 2.The actor developed fever and discomfort after returning from Ranchi, where he had travelled for a new project. Medical tests conducted on Friday confirmed the infection. He has been advised complete rest and self-isolation.Due to his illness, a special show scheduled in Bengaluru has been postponed. Emraan said on social media that he was “very unwell” and could not attend the event. The show will now take place on September 12, with previously purchased tickets remaining valid.Awarapan 2, the sequel to the 2007 hit Awarapan, has marked a strong comeback for Emraan in 2026. The film, also starring Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi, has crossed the Rs 100-crore mark and reportedly became his fastest solo film to reach the milestone.The success has also led to the announcement of Awarapan 3.Emraan is next set to appear in Aditya Datt’s action film Gunmaster G9, opposite Genelia D’Souza. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on November 27, 2026.
