Bangladesh faced a major batting collapse against Cricket Australia XI in the opening day of their three-day warm-up match in Darwin, with off-spinner Corey Rocchiccioli causing the damage. However, Mehidy Hasan Miraz’s brilliant unbeaten century helped the visitors post a respectable first-innings total of 263 runs.After losing seven wickets and struggling at 175 runs by the tea break, Bangladesh found hope through Mehidy’s counter-attacking innings. But the decision quickly turned difficult as opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim was dismissed for a duck with the team score on just 7.Sadman Islam and Mominul Haque attempted to rebuild the innings, but the scoring rate remained slow.
