Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy has warned that it will respond if any US warship approaches within 100 kilometres of the Strait of Hormuz, directly challenging US President Donald Trump’s claim that Washington controls the strategic waterway.According to Iran’s Fars news agency, the IRGC Navy’s political deputy commander said, If the Strait of Hormuz is under US control, then come forward bring one of your warships within 100 kilometres. He said US forces know what response Iranian forces would make if a US warship entered the area. He also claimed that similar incidents had occurred in recent days.
