Agriculturist Md. Sharif Hossain Khan has been appointed chairman of the ad hoc committee of Hasnabad High School in Raipura upazila of Narsingdi.The Dhaka Education Board recently approved the four-member ad hoc committee. The approval was issued through a notification signed by Professor Dr. Md. Masud Rana Khan, Inspector of Schools at the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka.According to the regulations governing the formation of school managing committees, the ad hoc committee will remain in place for six months from the date of issuance of the notification.Agriculturist Md. Sharif Hossain Khan, who holds a BSc (Honours) degree in Agriculture, has been appointed chairman as an education-minded member. Md. Amzad Hossain has been named the teacher representative, while Rashedul Islam has been appointed as the guardian representative. The head teacher of the school will serve as the ex-officio member-secretary.Local guardians and teachers said they expect the new committee to contribute to improving the school's academic activities and overall management. They hope the committee will work on infrastructure development, improving the quality of education, ensuring a safe environment for students and maintaining discipline.Sharif Hossain Khan said he was grateful to those concerned for entrusting him with the responsibility. He said improving the quality of education, introducing digital learning facilities and creating a safe and modern environment for students would be among his priorities. He also sought cooperation from teachers, guardians and local residents.He further said that Engineer Ashraf Uddin Bokul, Member of Parliament for Narsingdi-5 (Raipura), has provided guidance and recommendations for the development of the education system in Raipura. Sharif Hossain Khan said he would work to improve the educational standards of Hasnabad High School in line with Bokul's vision and goals. Local residents expressed hope that the newly formed ad hoc committee would bring positive changes to the school's academic activities and administrative management.
