Give me two years, no development work will remain unfinished in my constituency

Give me two years, and there will be no development work left unfinished in my constituency, said State Minister for Textiles and Jute Shariful Alam MP at an event in Kuliarchar, Kishoreganj, on Thursday afternoon.He made the remarks while distributing Family Cards, Farmer Cards, various allowances and rickshaw assistance among poor and disadvantaged people in Kuliarchar.The event was organised by the upazila administration at the Upazila Parishad auditorium, with Upazila Nirbahi Officer Saffat Ara Sayeed in the chair.Shariful Alam said, “Those who want to bring down the government or pull it down within seven months, I think they have a different plan. They want to disrupt the government’s development activities by joining hands with the ousted fascist.”He urged beneficiaries of the government’s Family Card, Farmer Card, imam-muezzin allowances, medical allowances and other benefits to remain alert.“Everyone must stand together against those involved in conspiracies,” he said.The state minister said the government’s journey had only just begun and various development programmes had already been launched in Bhairab and Kuliarchar.On Thursday, Farmer Cards were distributed among 1,078 farmers at the Nazir Dighi block in Ushmanpur Union of Kuliarchar upazila. Similar cards will be distributed gradually in other unions of the upazila and in Bhairab, he said.The event was conducted by Kuliarchar Upazila Agriculture Officer Marjina Akter. Among others, Kishoreganj Deputy Commissioner Sohana Nasrin, Superintendent of Police Mizanur Rahman, Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension Dr Sadiqur Rahman, Kuliarchar upazila BNP General Secretary MA Hannan and municipal BNP General Secretary Shahadat Hossain Shah Alam addressed the event as special guests.
