The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 40 active members of the Awami League, whose activities are currently banned, during special operations across the capital.In a text message sent to the media on Wednesday (September 30), the DMP Media Division disclosed the information.According to the DMP, the 40 individuals were arrested during raids conducted in different areas of Dhaka. Legal proceedings against them are underway, the police said.The DMP also reported that a total of 401 people were arrested in operations conducted across various police station areas of the capital over the past 24 hours. During the same period, 26 cases were filed. Police also recovered various types of evidence and drugs during the operations, the DMP said.
