The visit followed his engagements in Mongla, including an MoU signing and the foundation stone laying for the port's expansion and modernisation projectPrime Minister Tarique Rahman visited the shrine of Hazrat Khan Jahan Ali (RA) in Bagerhat on Thursday, following his scheduled engagements at Mongla Port.During the visit, the prime minister paid his respects at the shrine and took part in prayers and a munajat.Earlier in the morning, Tarique attended a ceremony in Mongla where an agreement on economic and infrastructure cooperation was signed between Invest Bangladesh and China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC).He later laid the foundation stone of the Mongla Port Expansion and Modernisation Project.The shrine visit came after the prime minister's official programmes in Mongla, as part of his visit to the southwestern region.
