The biennial election of the Bangladesh Chalachchitra Sangbadik Samity (BACSAAS), a traditional organisation of film journalists, for the 2026–2028 term will be held on November 20 (Friday) at the National Press Club in Dhaka.The decision was taken at a joint meeting of the Election Commission and the executive committee on October 8. The final voter list was handed over to the election commissioners at a joint meeting with the BACSAAS executive committee on Tuesday, October 20.Chief Election Commissioner Erfanul Haque Nahid said the incumbent executive committee had transferred its responsibilities to the commission on time. Among those present at Tuesday's joint meeting were incumbent executive committee Joint General Secretary Abu Sufian Ratan, Finance Secretary Ruhul Sakhawat, Office Secretary Ruhul Amin Bhuiyan and Executive Member Saju Ahmed, among others.Election Commission membersErfanul Haque Nahid is serving as the chief election commissioner for the upcoming election. The other members of the Election Commission are senior journalist Imrul Shahed, Aminul Islam Raju, Hafizur Rahman Suroj and Abul Hossain Majumder.
