Bangladesh President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed deep grief over the loss of lives and extensive destruction caused by sudden floods and landslides in Nepal, extending his heartfelt condolences to the families of those killed.Sudden floods and landslides struck Nepal’s central Bagmati Province, including Rasuwa and several neighbouring districts, on Wednesday (August 26).At least 162 people have so far been reported dead, while 403 others remain missing following the disaster.According to data from the Nepal Tourism Board, 341 of those reported missing are foreign nationals.Among them are 133 Indian citizens, 47 Americans and 33 British nationals. The missing include 200 women and 203 men.The disaster has caused widespread destruction in the affected areas, with rescue and recovery efforts continuing amid the difficult conditions.President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir conveyed his sympathy to the families who lost their loved ones and expressed solidarity with the people of Nepal during the crisis.
