The government will not tolerate corruption in any form, Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Dr Abdul Moin Khan said on Sunday.He said those involved in corruption would face action through the proper legal process and the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).Moin Khan made the remarks while exchanging greetings with officials and heads of various agencies under the ministry and members of the media at the Secretariat around 11:30am.He said the BNP is often described as a cantonment party, while the Awami League had destroyed democracy and Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman restored it.The minister also said BNP does not believe in politics of revenge and wants to establish the rule of law in the country.Asked when local government elections would begin, Moin Khan said elections must be held through a constitutional process and he could not announce a specific date at his discretion.If I announce today that the election will be held on a particular day, it will have no meaning, he said.The BNP government will announce the schedule for local government elections at the appropriate time by following the constitutional process, he added.
