Russia’s Defence Ministry on Sunday said its air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 635 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones during overnight operations.
In
a statement posted on Telegram, the ministry said air defence units
successfully targeted the unmanned aerial vehicles before they could reach
their intended locations.
The
ministry listed more than a dozen Russian regions where the drones were
reportedly detected and neutralised, though it did not provide further details
about the locations or any possible damage caused by the attacks.
The claim comes amid continued drone warfare between Russia and Ukraine, with both sides regularly reporting air strikes and interceptions as the conflict continues.
