Titled Apon Wedding Monsoon, the campaign
also features model Raj Mania. Through the initiative, the jewellery brand
seeks to highlight the cultural traditions, family bonds and emotions
associated with weddings in Bangladesh.
Apon Jewellers has been
associated with weddings, festivals and other special moments in the lives of
Bangladeshis for nearly four decades. While the brand has embraced contemporary
designs and new ideas over the years, it has continued to place emphasis on
local culture and traditions.
The campaign’s thematic
advertisement combines a special jingle, dance and choreography to portray the
vibrancy of the wedding season. The advertisement was directed by filmmaker Mehedi Hasib.
Malaika Choudhury’s presence
adds a contemporary appeal to the campaign, which brings together music, dance
and a festive wedding setting. The advertisement also seeks to connect the
brand’s longstanding heritage with the way the younger generation celebrates
weddings today.
The campaign goes beyond the
advertisement, with Apon Jewellers also introducing the Apon Wedding Monsoon Dance Challenge.
Participants can recreate the dance featured in the advertisement, record their
performances and post the videos on Facebook, TikTok or Instagram while tagging
Apon Jewellers.
The best 10 participants will receive
attractive gifts from Apon Jewellers, according to the campaign.
Through ‘Apon Wedding Monsoon’, the jewellery
brand is combining its longstanding association with weddings and celebrations
with an opportunity for younger audiences to participate creatively. The
campaign brings together tradition, contemporary presentation and audience
engagement, with Malaika Choudhury serving as one of its key faces.
