Indian yoga guru Ramdev

Controversial Indian yoga guru Ramdev has claimed that Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan could one day become part of India again, urging Indians to remain patient.

He made the remarks while speaking to journalists at Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur.

Ramdev alleged that Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh are facing persecution. He said freedom of expression is essential in a democracy, but it should remain within the boundaries of the Constitution and morality.

“Pakistan and Bangladesh have witnessed persecution and injustice against Hindus. These are among the most brutal incidents in the history of human civilisation,” he said.

Ramdev also said future generations should ensure that no one is subjected to persecution because of their religion.

He claimed that no religious community in India whether Hindu, Muslim or Christian—is under threat. “What is under threat is India’s honour and dignity,” he said.

Ramdev further said he wanted India to receive equal respect from every country in the world, including the United States, China and Russia.
