Faisal Hossain has been appointed as the Political Secretary (Personal Secretary–Political) to Dr M A Quayum , BNP’s Secretary for Microcredit Affairs.According to the appointment letter issued on November 12, 2025, Faisal formally assumed the responsibility on January 1, 2026.Under his new role, Faisal will assist Dr Quayum in political and organisational matters. His responsibilities will also include coordinating with party leaders and activists, elected representatives and relevant individuals and organisations in the constituency, arranging meetings, maintaining political communication and monitoring issues related to public interest.The appointment letter also emphasises maintaining integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, loyalty and dedication while carrying out the responsibilities. It further states that Faisal must remain within the authorised limits when making any statement, decision or commitment on behalf of Dr Quayum.Faisal has been involved in political and organisational activities for several years, particularly in Dhaka-11, according to people familiar with his political activities.Speaking about his new responsibility, Faisal Hossain said, I want to work responsibly to make the party’s organisational activities more dynamic and coordinated. Alongside assisting Dr M A Quayum in his political activities, I will maintain regular communication with party leaders, activists and relevant stakeholders.Dr M A Quayum said, Coordination, communication and public engagement are important in political activities. The objective of assigning Faisal this responsibility is to make our organisational activities more structured. I hope he will carry out his duties with integrity and dedication. Party leaders and activists have expressed positive expectations about Faisal’s new role. They believe his organisational experience will help strengthen political communication and coordination in the constituency.
