Speaking to the sports platform
Not Out Noman, Tamim said the two boards are trying to find a suitable
window for a six-match series comprising three ODIs and three T20Is.
We are looking at a tentative
date and trying to see whether it is actually possible to hold the series at
that time. If I thought the intention was negative, I would not be telling you
this today. Let’s see what happens. We are hopeful. I would not even say this
if the intention was not positive. In fact, the intention is very positive, he
said.
Tamim acknowledged that some
factors remain beyond the BCB’s control, but said discussions with the Indian
board are continuing.
As BCB president, I never
want to cross that boundary, you understand? But the intention is good, and we
are maintaining regular communication, he said.
He said scheduling remains a
key issue, as both Bangladesh and India have busy calendars.
We are also looking at the
dates because Bangladesh is busy and so are they. Bangladesh has three series
in between. India and the BCCI are also very busy with their own matches. But
we are in regular discussions on this, Tamim said.
The proposed series would feature three ODIs and
three T20Is, although no final dates have yet been announced.
