Voting in the presidential election has ended after polling continued from 2:00pm to 5:00pm on Thursday at the Jatiya Sangsad.Election officer A M M Nasir Uddin is expected to announce the result shortly.The newly elected president will take the oath the following day. Chief Whip of Parliament Nurul Islam Moni said preparations have been made for the oath-taking ceremony at Bangabhaban at 7:30pm on August 21.Acting President Kaiser Kamal will administer the oath to the newly elected president.The name of the country’s new president will be officially announced after the election result is declared.
